WHATEVER HAPPENED TO ROBOT JONES?

Seriously, I liked that show.
Anywho, I have a tendency to go off on a tangent in the middle of writing a journal so it ends up not being related much to the title, so I'll just do that now.
This is something I desperately made yesterday to get word count (which only added about 300 words which made me MAD):
Jack examined the pirate closely. He was wearing a striped shirt and pants, blue and white. Even the pants. How did he get striped pants, anyway? ... So, the pirate was also wearing striped shoes somehow. He had sunglasses (judging by the side of his head), a plastic wooden leg, and a fake fake finger. Jack turned him over to get a better look, and saw that he had piercings all over his face. His mouth, eyebrows, nose, cheeks, chin, the eyes themselves; pretty much everywhere. Man, was he ugly. It was difficult to see in the dark and from far away, but now seeing the pirate up close, Jack was inclined to agree. Then he noticed a blue bandana that was face down from the pirate tripping into the ground. Jack picked it up and turned it over, and there was something written on the front with that paint stuff that's on those things you made in art class in 3rd grade. It read, "MOM" at the top, and under that was smaller text that read, "said I wasn't old or cool enough to have real tattoos." This made Jack wonder a few things, like how did this guy ever end up ruining his life in so many ways? He had piercings all over his face, striped clothes, and a bandana that proudly proclaims to the world how lame he is. Perhaps he was just insecure or something like that. He joined a band of pirates, after all. Who's to say that he wasn't just wanting to fit in with someone. His face full of piercings shows he doesn't care about his looks in one way or another; could be because he didn't want to be recognizable to those from his past, or that it acts as a mask that he can operate by without feeling that worthless feeling of self-consciousness. He might have done some unspeakable wrong in his life that even made his mother refuse to let him get a tattoo, as the bandana says. The striped clothes may signify that he was insecure about his um... weight. Stripes are slimming, or so they say. Desperately as he tried to become secure in his life again, this pirate just didn't get it right. The striped clothes didn't stop him from looking really weird, his piercings made him the ugliest being around, and the bandana just accents his life. A life of constant failure. A life that may or may not have been worth living, as the pirate did not succeed in anything, but on the other hand managed to enjoy his life enough to still be alive, up until tripping into the ditch. So, that pirate probably deserved to be prophesized to die, but there's no real way to tell. Those were Jack's thought on the subject of the now deceased pirate from nowhere.
I finished As Good as it Gets today in health class, which was pretty cool. But what was cooler was watching a video about how realistic Batman's technology was in comparison to the technology at the time, and the technology right now. It was loads of awesome.
Um. Yeah. I still didn't finish today's portion of Yoki Yoki, and I don't think I'll be able to finish NaNoWriMo with 50,000 words. Everything I try ends up with very little progress, and it kind of brings me down. I can't write more than 1,000 words without getting bored or wanting to stop, so 1,667 isn't really possible for me, unless I just had the plot laid out in front of me. Which I don't.
And I feel so bored of writing it that I'd rather write 50,000 words of pairings for a month.

... Pfft, I've pretty much given up on my story. There's simply not enough time for it, I say.

Date: 2008-11-12 01:24 am (UTC)SCREW WORDS I'D RATHER HAVE A GOOD STORY THAN A STORY THAT DESCRIBES ABOUT HOW A PIRATE'S MOM NEVER LET HIM GET A REAL TATTOO which was like the best part of the whole thing
Also, I miss Robot Jones. Boohoo.

THIS IS COMMENT NUMBER 100. I ONLY KNOW BECAUSE I'VE BEEN TRACKING IT FROM MY RECENTLY UPDATED PROFILE. *Confetti*
